About Us

As a family breeder we specialize in the Newfoundland breed. We do not breed multiple breeds at our home.  We know the breed standard, temperament, and characteristics. We strive to breed only Newfoundland dogs that have these qualities. This benefits the future owner by allowing the buyer a type of quality control.

As a family breeder it is very important to us to be aware of all known inherited defects affecting our breed.   All or our breeding stock are screened to be sure they are free of such defects. This may not totally eliminate an inherited defect from showing up, but it will greatly decrease the chances of them occurring.

Since we know our breed from A to Z, we are a valuable source of information should any problems arise after your Newf puppy is in your home. We will give advice on almost all aspects of caring and training your puppy. In the event that you find it impossible to keep your Newf dog, we will help you relocate your dog or simply take it back to our home.

When leaving our home with your puppy we will provide you with written instructions on how to feed, care for and train your pet. You also have the comfort of knowing that we are only a phone call away.

As a family breeder we do not sell our puppies to puppy mills or pet shop! We believe that laws in Canada should be more severe for people and companies that do not protect animals.

It is very important for us to take the time to properly socialize our puppies. We give them the special handling needed during the critical developmental stages in the puppies' lives. This socialization helps the puppies adapt and adjust to life with humans and opens their mind for learning. They will meet our children, the cats and when ready they meet the other Newfoundlands of the house. We believe that a carefully bred, well-socialized puppy makes a happy and well behave dog.

If you desire a show puppy, please tell us!  We will help you get started in whatever area you wish to pursue (conformation, obedience, agility, carting). If you prefer a companion, tell us also!  We always push to produce Newfoundland dogs of high quality. This endeavor carries a high price, not only in time and money but more importantly in emotion. Along with the joy of breeding litters comes much heartache. The satisfaction of bringing joy to the lives of others through the ownership of quality, loving companions is well worth the effort. On the other hand, buying a puppy also carries a price in terms of money and emotions. It is worth spending the time and effort on your part to find a reputable breeder for the purchase of your special companion so you can both enjoy a long, wonderful relationship together.
