Piccolo Orso ... an italian name for LITTLE BEAR
Over the years we have learn so much from our Newfies! Our passion is what Piccolo Orso is made of!
Piccolo Orso is a small-based family Kennel located in the beautiful municipality of l'Ange-Gardien.
Here, love and pride for our Newfoundlands stands before anything else!
We love them, protect them and offer them the best possible life a Newfie dog could dream of ! :)
Our Newfoundlands are part of our family life.
They are very well socialized and we make sure to develop them at their best.
We are a small breeder and we have no interest in becoming larger.
We believe that what really counts in a breeding program is the quality of the dogs we own and not the quantity of puppies we have!
This is why we travel far away to get Newfoundland's of high quality with pedigrees that speaks for themselves. We want the best and we work to get the best.
Please remember that our Newfs are not puppy machine. That's why we do not have more than 1 litter per year. When we breed we select the best possible reproducers to improve the breed.
We believe in friendship with our puppy owners and we believe in friendship with other breeders.
Health, temperament and structure is what we are looking for.
Our breeding stock is certified with the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for hips, elbows, heart and cystinuria (HealthGene Laboratories)
All of our Newfoundland's have performed in conformation competition and believe us when we say it is more than a beauty show!! Showing a Newfoundland is an art...Art in handling and art in grooming! :)
We also do therapy with kids in daycare and school. What a joy to see a kid smiling!
Our Newfoundland's are handle, trained and conditioned by us.
Our Newfies are not only 'show' dogs. They are the very best friends we could even dream of!
Our Newfies bring happiness and laughter to everyone who encounters them!
